Our HO and Design Studio runs entirely on 100% green renewable energy, and our free-standing stores are all using carbon offset energy.

We are use Recycled Polyester rPET across rainwear some for more sporty styles with Organic cotton amongst the staple fabrics Princess Highway currently has approaching 15% organic cotton with an aim to double this over the coming year with the goal of 30% Organic for Princess Highway. Our iconic in house designed prints are applied by digital printing which uses less ink than conventional printing.

We started external Environmental and Chemical Audits two years ago and plan to continue to check and educate our factories and mills regarding all aspects of best practice, reducing pollution, increasing safety and occupational health in operating and production.

Garments are shipped to create as few GHG’s as possible, we conducted a yearlong logistics study to achieve this, and packaging waste has been drastically reduced by eliminating single use plastic bags in shipping and introducing recycled FSC paper mailers for all online orders.

As signed up members of APCO - the Australian Packaging Covenant, we are conscious of our role in reducing kerbside waste. Our packaging imitative includes water-based ink on our labels, natural tissue, recycled cardboard concertinas for delicate items and eco pallet wrap and paper tapes for our warehouse.

Reducing GHG’s - Carbon Footprint

We commissioned an independent report to identify and calculate our operating carbon emissions, using data collected from a representative sample of stores nationwide plus HO and warehouse. Offsetting locally in Victoria by supporting native bush rehabilitation for endangered species of flora and fauna. We are now looking at how we can further reduce our GHG’s moving towards target net zero. We only use Eco handwash and detergents toilet tissue and recycled paper towels such as ‘Who Gives a Crap’ at stores and throughout. HO has dedicated recycling bins throughout and skips at the warehouse for cardboard and soft plastics.

There is a new Animal Welfare Policy, an Environmental Procurement Policy and recently established Sustainability Committee, to educate and spread awareness, allowing our staff and pursue environmental and wellbeing goals companywide.
